Hospital staff failed to and/or refused to obtain information from Frank’s wife or his GP
AND INSTEAD TOOK FALSE INFORMATION FROM
DRUG USER DAUGHTER
Canberra Hospital failed in its duty of care
On admission, or at all, Canberra Hospital doctors and staff failed to and/or refused to obtain Frank’s medical history from his GP.
Doctors also failed to and/or refused to speak to Frank’s wife about Frank’s medical history. Had they done so, they would have been informed that Frank had his GP on speed-dial - with his GP’s private mobile number saved in his mobile phone contacts. Hospital staff would have been provided that mobile for immediate and direct communication with Frank’s GP.
On the date of admission Nada called Queanbeyan and Canberra Hospitals 12 times.
Despite the 12 calls, Hospital staff refused to seek medical information from Nada or Frank’s GP.
Rather, hospital staff sought information from Frank’s daughter in New Zealand who’s reply was “I don’t know”, and daughter in Queanbeyan who is a long time drug user and who immediately after Frank’s death stole two cars from Frank’s wife and attempted to steal two more, including a valuable classic car.
Did the hospital avoid Nada to avoid obtaining “informed consent”.

Hospital failed to alert Nada of Frank’s daughter’s serious and false information about Frank
On 22 September 2021 Frank’s daughter Krista made some very concerning and serious false statements to hospital staff and doctors.
The hospital entirely failed to raise these matters with Nada.
The hospital relied on false information and failed to clarify or verify anything.
Doctors took information from Krista Kovacevic without ascertaining its truthfulness
Krista Kovacevic: Drug user and dealer, lifelong Centrelink recipient and thief immediately after Frank’s death
Krista OFFERED doctors a great deal of information about her dad Frank. Krista failed to mention she rarely spent time with her father, avoided Frank like the plague, and generally didn’t open the door to him if he dropped by to visit her.
Most concerning however, to Most of the information was entirely untrue, very offensive and very disturbing.
Despite the fact many allegations were serious in nature, hospital doctors and/or staff entirely failed to notify Frank’s wife to discuss the matters and/or ascertain the truthfulness of statements made by Krista. More concerningly, doctors relied on and recorded information given by Krista the daily medical records.
Had doctors raised Krista’s allegations with Frank’s wife Nada, they would have discovered Krista has a long history of drug use.
History:
Krista disliked and avoided her father because he disapproved of her drug use and always discouraged it. Frank encouraged Krista to get out of bed at a normal hour, ie 8am, to get a job, to lead life a normal life - to have dreams and work towards them.
Krista however elected to live a life at the expense of the Australian taxpayer and family, who has received Centrelink benefits her entire life and received supplementary financial support from Frank and Nada.
Krista’s day starts around 12 noon when she wakes up. Should Frank ever drop by before 12 noon he would be greeted by a screaming Krista, angry that he had woken her up.
Krista would then spend the remainder of the day hanging about her government unit smoking pot, or visiting friends. Most of the time Krista would refuse to open the door to her father if he dropped in to say hi. If Frank needed to give her something, he would leave it at the door because he knew she would not let him in to her government unit. The reason why Krista refused Frank’s visits was that she routinely smoked pot and didn’t want her dad the smell it. I recall on one occasion when we did drop by on a Sunday afternoon, Frank and I waited at the front door for 10 minutes while she sprayed air freshener and opened windows. Frank and I knew exactly what she was going.
Phoned daughter Krista (xxx xxx xxx) who was quite informative about Frank’s movements over the last few weeks.
She said that he has been unwell for the last 3 weeks, but especially the last 1 week.
Started with pain in between shoulder blades and C–spine on 7/9 to the point that he was unable to think/talk. Extremely tender to her palpation.
He was taking a lot of painkillers, getting Krista to massage him.
She reports he became slow of thought and movement. She last saw him on 8/9.
Krista’s statement Frank was unwell for 3 weeks was entirely false.
Like all people of 58 years of age, Frank had some muscle and shoulder pain which was being treated by his GP an occupational therapist referred by his GP.
The extent of “painkillers” Frank ever took, was a few Voltaren which is an over the counter medication. Whereas Krista is a regular marujiana user which was strongly discouraged by Frank.
Krista’s statement Frank was slow of thought and movement was also entirely false, and can be verified by many people who saw Frank much more frequently than Krista, including his cousin Ivica, mechanics Aaron and Allee, Bursons’ auto parts shop, and Cooma police officer who was dealing extensively with Frank concerning our stolen trucks.
In fact Frank’s mental ability was so good that Frank had developed new business strategy for the Gregory Street property which was mapped out with Nada on 6 September.
Frank was very fit and heathy and in fact Frank delivered a 250kg concrete drainer riser to Malua Bay from Queanbeyan in his ute and physically moved 60 metres from the front driveway to the rear garden.
Frank and Nada were also walking their german shepherd dog Max daily on weekends.

Krista Kovacevic: Drug user. Drug dealer & Lifelong Centrelink Recipient.
Krista Kovacevic offered doctors a great deal of information about Frank. Some of the information was very disturbing and concerning.
Doctors and/or hospital staff entirely failed to notify Frank’s wife of the serious allegations made by Krista. Further, doctors relied and reported information on medical records, given by Krista which were false.
Had doctors raised any of this with Nada, they would have discovered Krista has a long history of drug use and associating with criminals.

Krista false told hospital staff:
On Wednesday 15/9 Krista “went into panic mode” and started getting food delivered and dropping off supplies. thought he was a bit confused on the phone. Asked him to arrange a GP appointment. Rang his sister and ex-wife. On the phone, he was heavy breathing, taking 4 large breaths in order to say a single word at a time. Asked Krista to move one of his classic cars somewhere. She had to guess what he was trying to say. Stuggled to get our a single word “Insurance”, which she took to mean that she shouldn’t park the unregistered insured vehicle on the road.
On Wednesday 15 September 2021 Nada’s Optus phone bill shows 11 phone calls between Frank and Nada totalling 22 minutes of conversation.
Frank also called vehicle mechanics Allee, and Aaron.
Frank was NOT breathing heavy or unable to talk.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

2.22pm
At 2.22pm Frank was sedated with Ketamine for the purpose of being intubated.
[Frank never came out of sedation].
2.29pm
At 2.29pm Queanbeyan Hospital medical staff intubated Frank.
The hospital did not seek informed consent from Frank.
The hospital did not seek informed consent from Frank’s wife, his next of kin.
Treatment options were never discussed with Frank’s wife.
2.56pm
Queanbeyan Hospital loaded Frank for transport to Canberra Hospital
3.00pm
At 3.00pm Nada called Queanbeyan Hospital.
Hospital staff stated Frank was on his way to Canberra Hospital.
Hospital staff refused to inform Nada Frank was intubated.
4.11pm
At 4.11pm Nada called Queanbeyan Hospital.
Emergency Department stated Frank had left Queanbeyan Hospital and was at Canberra Hospital.
4.12pm
At 4.12pm Nada called Canberra Hospital.
Emergency Department staff advised:
a) Frank had arrived;
b) was intubated in Queanbeyan Hospital; and
c) was being sent to ICU.
Queanbeyan Hospital’s refusal to obtain informed consent.
Despite the fact ambulance officers determined there was “no immediate life threat”, Queanbeyan Hospital heavily sedated and intubated Frank within 2 hours.
Despite the fact Frank was cognitive when admitted to hospital, doctors failed to obtain informed consent from Frank, nor inform Frank of their intention to intubate him.
As his wife, I know Frank would never have agreed to be placed on a ventilator.
Despite the fact Nada called Queanbeyan Hospital five times:
a) doctors refused to inform Nada of their intention to intubate Frank at any time;
b) the hospital refused to seek Nada’s consent to intubation as Frank’s next of kin;
c) the hospital refused to inform Nada of risks associated with mechanical ventilation; and
d) the hospital refused to obtain informed consent from Nada, as Frank’s wife and next of kin.
As Frank’s wife, and knowing his thoughts on being placed on mechanical ventilation, I would never have given my consent to Queanbeyan Hospital to intubate Frank.
Queanbeyan Hospital
Emergency Department Documentation
Despite five calls made to Queanbeyan Hospital, staff refused to speak to Nada concerning Frank’s condition and subsequently documented incorrect and/or false medical information concerning Frank, namely:
”Family only contact over phone for past week. Noticed pt (patient) more confused today so called NSWAS”.
Nada did not ever say to any person Frank was confused.
FRANK WAS NOT CONFUSED.
Frank was talking, answering questions and breathing.
Nada called the ambulance because Frank was physically weak.
“Recent acute renal failure”.
Frank did NOT have “recent” kidney issues.
Frank was prescribed medication by his GP to maintain the health of his kidneys on an ongoing basis.
No family at home. Wife down the coast - visiting back and forth over past month”.
Frank was the person that travelled back and forth to Batemans Bay on weekends, not Nada.
Discharge Summary

Entirely false. Nada was not updated at all by Queanbeyan Hospital and was in fact given false information the entire day concerning all treatment of Frank.
